On-site accommodation is available for up to 41 guests in 4 beautifully converted barn, all with their own hot tubs, these include a single storey cottage and a further cottage with downstairs en-suite bathroom, ensuring comfort for elderly or disabled guests. Historic Mill House with its fabulous galleried landing houses our largest bedroom with superking bed, walk in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom making it the ideal bridal suite.We understand that every love story is unique, and we take pride in offering flexible packages that can be tailored to suit your needs and budget. Whether you’re hosting an intimate celebration or a lavish reception our versatile venue adapts whilst maintaining its charm.Originally a working blacksmith’s forge, this beautiful space has been lovingly transformed into a rustic wedding venue filled with natural light and character. For nearly 200 years, couples were married over the blacksmith’s anvil. To seal each marriage, the blacksmith would strike his hammer upon the anvil, the ringing echoing through the village to announce that another couple had been joined in marriage a tradition that adds a deeply romantic story to your day.Surrounded by parkland views, The Forge offers a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere where you and your guests can fully immerse yourselves in the moment. The Day Before
The Forge is the ultimate blank canvas for your wedding celebration. From a stylish seated wedding breakfast in the barn to a more relaxed festival style celebration in our Mediterranean Terrace Room or outside on the lawn, the possibilities are endless. We have a list of brilliant local suppliers who are ready and waiting to be part of your big day.
We ask that you use our in-house bar only. When you come to look around, we will discuss our wine and drinks packages. (If you would like cocktails, we work with Ales & Cocktails for this, please ask us for further information)
Your Wedding Ceremony
Whether you choose to say your vows inside The Forge wedding barn with its panoramic views, or outdoors on the South facing lawn surrounded by stunning Yorkshire countryside, your ceremony will be truly special. There are also several picturesque churches nearby for religious ceremonies.
Your Wedding Reception & Wedding Breakfast
We include access from 12.30pm the day prior to your wedding within your booking as standard. This means you’ll have the day to decorate, dress, and perfect your venue, allowing you to relax and enjoy the morning of your wedding. We will be on hand to assist with every detail.
Having an evening together with all your family and friends ahead of your special day is the perfect way to start off your Wedding celebrations – or simply share some bubbles in the hot tubs.
The Celebrations
Dance the night away until midnight, enjoying our crackling fire pit and outdoor bar. We will look after you and your guests throughout the evening, ensuring you can enjoy every moment of your celebration.
Your Stay
It wouldn't be a wedding weekend without the use of our pizza shack, indoor heated pool and BBQ facilities! You are welcome to enjoy all these facilities whilst staying with us.
